What to Do if You Find an Injured Bird
Before You Report
A useful report should contain as much accurate information as possible.
Where appropriate, include:
- The exact location or street
- The locality
- The date and approximate time
- Photographs or video
- A clear description of what happened
- Any licence number or property name if the complaint concerns tourist accommodation
- Any vehicle registration or other relevant details where legally appropriate
- Any complaint or reference number already issued by an authority
Avoid confronting people or putting yourself in danger in order to obtain photographs or evidence.
If an incident is urgent or somebody is at risk, contact the relevant emergency service first.
Emergency: Call 112
Reporting to Malta Gone Wild
Malta Gone Wild helps document issues affecting communities across Malta and Gozo, but we are not a government authority, emergency service or law-enforcement body.
Where possible, report the matter to the appropriate authority first. You can then submit the issue to Malta Gone Wild to help document what is happening in our communities.
Please avoid publishing unnecessary identifying information, particularly faces, vehicle registration plates or personal details.
Together, better reporting can help make recurring problems harder to ignore.
